A day-off can be a rare thing. It can come once a week or a month. Sometimes, it's doesn't happen at all.

You need a day off to free yourself from stress. There are several ways to get your needed off from your job or daily life. Try the ten things below you can do even when in a condominium in Ortigas Center or in the comfort of your couch.

1. Sleep in and have a lazy day.

Catch up on your needed sleep! Get your eye cover, apply some eye cream and wear some comfortable sleepwear for an extended period on your mattress. Add some lavender potpourri or essential oil in the area to create a heavenly sleeping chamber.

2. Catch up on your grooming

Use your day off to improve your outer self. Conduct a spa day at home. Shave your beard or shape the growing hairs on your face. Don't forget to give yourself a restorative facial afterward.

You can practice yoga or call in a masseuse to relax your mind and body. If you are feeling glam, deep condition your hair. Pick a bold color to apply for your mani-pedi.

3. Check your condo's amenities.

An Ortigas condo is close to several shopping and dining destinations. Meanwhile, the condo may have green spaces, outdoor playing fields, lap pools and indoor fitness amenities. If you haven't checked them, now's your time to do it.

4. Improve your skill set.

Learn a new language or an instrument. Study the marketing concepts you have to learn by Monday. Polish your elevator speech!

There are several things you can do to improve yourself. You just have to find which works for you. Most of all, it must be something you enjoy.

5. Begin a project or finish something you started.

Do you have a pending project? How about a craft you abandoned and put off until your next day off? If you're currently unoccupied, you can use this time to finish everything or begin working on all of them.

Don't wait until your next off to start exploring your curiosity.

6. Invite family and friends at the condo.

Host an impromptu gathering. You can do a potluck or order takeout from your favorite dining spots. You can boast about your cooking skills by setting a three-course meal or something similar.

You can also invite everyone to join in the preparation. It's ten times fun to cook a meal when everyone is on board.

7. Swap clothes with your best friends.

Check your closet for the pile of clothing you have sitting since you bought it. Bring the clothes out and let your friends take dibs on each. Give your clothes a new life by swapping them with your close friends.

Tell your friend to bring theirs too. During the swap, try on the clothes you chose and ask your friends' opinion if they look awesome. Donate or sell the remaining clothes from the 'swap pile.'

8. Host a party or a game night.

Everyone loves games. Borrow some classic board games from your parents' house or buy new ones from the store. Add some twist to your game by using a scoring system and pushing losers to do a dare.

On the other hand, winners should get prizes. Add some snacks and refreshments for guests who need a boost of energy.

9. Join a free online class.

There are several online platforms offering classes on various specialties. These platforms became popular because they are accessible and free. Top universities like Standford, Princeton, and Yale offer thousands of videos and lectures you can open across devices as long as you are connected to the Internet.

10. Rearrange home furniture.

Does your home seem boring? Use this time to clean up and something special in your place. Move a piece of furniture near the window or a different room to clear the area. You will be surprised by the instant home makeover without spending a fortune.

What better way to spend your day off than to indulge in the comfort of your home. Spend your day off wisely and use these tips to have a great weekend in Pasig City.
