Condo living is contemporary living. The style and structure of your abode change how you approach your daily life. First class amenities in a condo Makati, Philippines places you in a higher standard of living over the rest of the commoners.

The rest of the population - those in a house and lot in the suburbs - don't have the luxury to be near Makati CBD. They can't marvel at the view of skyscrapers from a condo in Makati. They aren't at a distance from high-end shopping malls, delicious grubs, and the party hoppers of the nightlife.

If you're already in a condo unit in the city, good for you. You may need some detoxifying if you are stressed out from your day job and life at home. You can try the six exercises below to improve your decision-making. It will also set your life on a right path.

1. Remove all the toxic people in your life.

These people merely decrease the quality of your life. They incite the negative feelings you try to minimize. If a person makes you feel impatient, frustrated, and inadequate, then they shouldn't consume most of the space in your life. They drain your energy without contributing to your dreams and goals.

Spot these types of people in your life. As much as possible, limit your interaction with them. Refrain from spending time with them, so they don't zap your energy. Instead, choose the people who deserve your attention. These can be family members, friends, colleagues, and other members of the community who encourage peace in your life. They want nothing than see you flourish and succeed in your endeavors.

2. Ban electronics in your bed.

There must be no phones, laptops, and tablets when in bed. It disrupts your sleep which impacts your productivity throughout the day. The short wavelength blue light from these devices takes a toll on your mood, energy level, and of course, sleep quality. Exposing the eyes to it halts the production of melatonin (sleep hormone). The lack of hormone is why you stay alert when in front of the screen even if you are sleep-deprived.

The sun loses their blue light during the afternoon so the body can produce melatonin. Hence, the brain becomes sensitive to the light because it doesn't expect any exposure. Upon using the devices which emits the blue light, the body decreases the hormone production. It interferes with your ability to fall asleep. Low quality and inadequate sleep results to mood swings, headaches, and other disrupted cognitive skills that impacts productivity.

3. Collect objects that resonate with you.

Do you have an item that expresses who you are or who you want to be? How about a meme or a post on the Internet that you must keep? They are gems that fuel your being. Whether it's a dress, a favorite sweater or a collection of poetry, you must hold on to them. Keep them as they provide warm memories of the past. They are also your source of inspiration in times when you need a mood boost.

4. Learn the art of gratitude.

Saying thanks is vital to prosperity and happiness. It's not the act of uttering "thank you" that helps you have peace in your heart. It's about the appreciation. Recognizing what you can provide for you and your family as well as the progress you've made throughout your journey in life leads you to the life you always imagined.

Creating a "gratitude list" will help you envision everything you accomplished on the past day, week, month or year. It is also a great exercise to recall the people who with you during your moments of success and struggles.

5. Start the process.

Most people hesitate in going forward with their dream projects or ambitions. They plan or brainstorm rather than fulfilling what they should be doing. They wait for the perfect time to begin their process, so everything goes according to their plan. Guess what? Nothing is perfect. These people don't finish anything even after months or years of planning and research.

What do you think is the reason for their failure? It's their fear of committing mistakes and the idea of perfectionism. The ultimate failure in life is neglecting to follow the vision. If you want to achieve something or finish a job, work on it each day. Focus on a part or a piece of the task and wait for your effort to accumulate until you get everything out of the way.

6. Assess your perception.

What you see and know isn't always how it seems. The guy who cracks jokes to make everyone laugh may be having troubles with his family. The person with the perfect life may be drowning in debt just to keep appearances. Moving to a new place, not getting your dream job, and other nuisance in your life can be bothersome, but they may be blessings in disguise. You can't predict the outcomes of these events. Thus, it's best to have an open mind in these situations and wish for the best.

These exercises or advice can also be for people living the quiet life. They are also prone to negativity and stress but on a lower level compared to those in the city. Condo living is not for everyone. Still, being in one gives you the opportunity to explore the city while maintaining a work-life balance.
